Virginia Commonwealth University Visited The American University In Vietnam For Comprehensive Partnership

The partnership between The American University in Vietnam (AUV) and the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will open a door for study abroad & exchange programs for students in various fields.

From Monday, March 5th to March 8th, the President, the Vice President & Provost, and Deans of multiple faculties under the Virginia Commonwealth University, U.S.A visited AUV to thoroughly discuss the future academic partnership between the two universities. Virginia Commonwealth University is one of the most prestigious universities in the US, with its Health & Medicine degree ranked as #1 and the Media & Communication degree ranked as #3 in the entire country.

As AUV is the first and only American-styled university in Vietnam with standardized American credits, the university can easily adapt VCU programs for its students. Also, students who wishes to exchange to VCU can apply with ease since all credits are transferable.

This partnership allows two institutes to exchange students between Vietnam and USA and not vice versa. Furthermore, online and hybrid courses will give students an opportunity to experience American authentic education while still being at home here in Danang.

Especially for students who are interested in Communication and Media streams, this partnership will excite them since VCU Robertson School of Communication has specifically agreed to assist AUV students and staffs on real-life communication projects, giving students hands-on experiences instead of theory-filled classes.

Upon signing the agreement, these partnership programs are expected to start upon 2018-2019 school-year.
