On March 28th, 2025, The American University in Vietnam (AUV) recently held a significant meeting with representatives from leading global semiconductor corporations. This marks a crucial milestone in its journey to promote education and workforce training for this key high-tech industry in Vietnam.
The meeting brought together leading experts, offering diverse perspectives on trends, challenges, and opportunities within the semiconductor industry, while also opening doors for collaborative high-quality workforce training. Attendees included representatives from Synopsys – a leading corporation providing tools and services for semiconductor design, Marvell Technology – a multinational technology company specializing in semiconductors, data storage, and networking infrastructure, and Intel – one of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers, renowned for its microprocessors and computer technologies.

Representing AUV’s leadership at the conference, Dr. Tran Nguyen Thy Binh – Chair of the AUV Board of Trustees, shared insights into the 30-year journey of building a world-class international education environment in Vietnam. Dr. Thy Binh highlighted AUV's proud achievements in training across various disciplines, including International Business Administration, Multidisciplinary Engineering, Health Sciences, Communications, and emphasized AUV's development vision focused on expanding its semiconductor engineering curriculum.

With a clear strategy, AUV aims to "Train the Next Generation of Semiconductor Experts," contributing to enhancing Vietnam's role in the global semiconductor supply chain through world-class education. AUV believes that the valuable bilateral exchanges from the meeting have created a forum for top-tier professional knowledge sharing, contributing to innovation and sustainable development in semiconductor industry education.
