On July 13, 2026, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Aviation Business Association (VABA) held its 4th Congress for the 2026–2031 term, bringing together representatives from government agencies, aviation enterprises, educational institutions, and organizations operating in the aviation sector nationwide.

Representing The American University in Vietnam (AUV), Dr. Tran Nguyen Thy Binh – Founder and Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, attended the Congress and was honored to be elected by the Congress as a member of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Aviation Business Association for the 2026–2031 term.

This milestone marks an important recognition from the aviation business community of AUV’s contributions to higher education. It also opens new opportunities for the University to strengthen collaboration with the Association, aviation enterprises, and strategic partners in developing high-quality human resources to support the growth of Vietnam’s aviation industry.

Over the years, AUV has maintained close cooperation with the Vietnam Aviation Business Association and organizations across the aviation sector. Building on an aviation education foundation established since the early 21st century, AUV and its partners have contributed to the training of pilots and aviation technical professionals, helping provide skilled human resources for the industry.

Following the American higher education model, AUV is committed to developing academic programs that closely integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience, meeting the demands of digital transformation, innovation, and international integration in the aviation sector. With a partnership network of hundreds of universities and educational institutions in the United States, AUV is ready to collaborate with VABA, airlines, regulatory agencies, and industry partners to develop international-standard training and professional development programs in areas such as aviation management, logistics and supply chain management, digital technology, artificial intelligence, airport operations management, aviation safety and security, and other emerging fields — addressing the evolving needs of the aviation industry in the new era.

With its new role on the VABA Executive Board, AUV reaffirms its commitment to working alongside the Vietnam Aviation Business Association and its members in developing and implementing education, research, and workforce development initiatives. The University aims to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s aviation sector through internationally aligned training programs that support sustainable growth and global integration.

The election of Dr. Tran Nguyen Thy Binh to the Executive Board of the Vietnam Aviation Business Association for the 2026–2031 term highlights AUV’s increasingly active role within the aviation business community. This achievement also provides a strong foundation for the University to expand collaboration with associations, enterprises, and domestic and international organizations, contributing to the development of an education ecosystem closely connected with industry needs and the advancement of high-quality human resources for Vietnam in the era of global integration.
